Big Action Day!  Lots of 14, 15, 16 and 17# carp all day!  (see Big Fish #9).
But Cats were slow, no cat weighed in over 5#, thus none qualified.
Dan Fuston started the day with a 12.7# carp at 7:30.  Then Sergio Garcia weighs in a large
17.5# carp from the back lake around 9 a.m.  He could not be beaten and swept the winnings.
Sergio's 17.5# also placed first on Big Fish #9 and is surely another cash winner! (over 10/11/09)
We had our drawings for Series Winners:  See above for finals but here is how it went:
The first carp draw was series #2, that was Larry DeHart, the champion.  Thus, we drew again.  It was Series #1 and
Ed Shepherd won that day (carp side).  We then drew the Cat side, it was Series #23!  That was this one.
Whoever won, would win free fishing but no one could do it!  Thus, a backup drawing was done, and Jim
Rainville won it.  Congrats all!
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
The 17.5# was the largest of the day, however a 17.2# was also weighed in as were several 15's and 16's.

Comments for Sunday 9/20/09
Dan Fuston won back to back Cat wins and has a shot at the championship tie with
Dave Rainville, as does Ed Shepherd.  But, Dave can seal it with a win next Sunday.
Larry DeHart IS the Carp Series Champion as no one can catch him with 5 wins!
Congrats Larry!  Free fishing for you!
Some rain in the morning but cleared out about 11 a.m.  We ran our Premier $100 Hourly Pool, lots
of action (see separate listing of winners).  Dan Fuston started early at 6:45 a.m. with his 18.4# flathead
that held all day, though several cats were caught, they were smaller.  Jeremy O'Day Sr. weighed in a
7.7# carp around 9 a.m.  There were considerable more carp weighed in - but all went to the hourly
until Denver Collison caught a 13.1# around 4:45 p.m. and won his 3rd Series.
Both winners were large enough to also place on the $1,000 Big Fish #8 but we'll see if they hold
(ends 9/26/09)
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
a 25.2# jumbo carp was caught by Darrell Gibbs winning the hourly slot and biggest carp of the
hourly, a total of $299 but he was NOT in the Lucky 25 and missed out on $722.

Nice September day!  Channels hitting well and small carp too, Johnny Hynes starts it with
a 7.1# carp from the front lake  Dan Fuston weighs in his 11.1# blue cat just a few minutes later at
10 a.m.  (good thing Ed Shepherd's 52# blue was caught the night before  huh Dan!).  But,
Ron Cochran weighs in the 14.1# winner at 10:43 a.m., go Ron!  His first Sunday Series win.
Dan could not be beat either, his first win also!  Drawing held on September 27 for free October

Cold front!  Needed jackets the first half of the day.  Cats hit at night, and started hitting again
right after 9 p.m. but too late!
The carp were running mad, but all small.  Sergio Cardenas caught 13 carp before catching the 11.3#
that edged out Ron Cochran's 11.2#.  Dave Rainville started the day at 6:50 a.m. with a 7.7# from the
front lake.  Mike Burch took over with an 8.7# out of the back around 1 p.m.  Ron Cochran surged ahead
with an 11.2# from the front around 4 p.m. and held until Sergio's 11.3# at 7:50 p.m.   Since no cats
were weighed in, Sergio swept the money and won his first Sunday Series!
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
the 11.3# was the biggest carp of the day, channels were caught but the 5.0# minimum was not hit.

A cool August day, we also ran our 4th hourly pool ($1,200 pot plus $190 biggest carp pot).
Johnny Hynes got it started early, weighing in the winner bright and early at 6:10 a.m.  Sergio
Garcia followed up at 7:05 a.m. with a 13.0# carp, then our big hourly ran from 8 to 3.
Both Johnny and Sergio scored their first Indy Sunday Series Wins and both were big enough
to place on our $1,000  Big Fish #7!
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
Ron Cochran weighed in an 18.3# carp around 11:20 a.m. to win the that hour as well as the
biggest carp of the hourly ($130+$190, not too bad!).  Sergio Cardenas weighed in a 14.1#
at 12:54 p.m. to win the 5th hour and $130.  'Course he could have won the Sunday Series and
placed on the Big Fish, will this be a last place at $100 more?!  We won't know
until Labor Day, but 14.1#'s have never paid on the Big Fish, so good call Sergio!
We almost forgot Darrel Debruhl's 14.8# carp on hour 1!  Nice catch.
Johnny's 19.5# cat was the biggest Cat of the day, though we stocked 1-51#, 2-41# and 1-40#
around Noon, no one could get them yet!

Hot again!  And Muggy.  Very few fishermen, in fact, just 2 anglers joined this Sunday Series,
until the late afternoon when 5 night anglers got on board.  Dave Rainville was OK with that,
his 36# flathead at 11:40 a.m. sealed the deal, also taking first place on the $1,000 Big Fish #7!
Dave also takes the Cat Series lead with 3 wins!  Go Dave!
Joseph Lowe took the carp lead late, at 8:35 p.m. with a 7.8# from the back lake.  But slick
Marc Berry landed an 8.5# carp from the Pond, the first Pond winner, at 8:52 p.m., just
8 minutes to spare.  Marc landed his 2nd win, and also took the "smallest winning carp" category.
Of course, Joseph caught a 14.5# carp later that night, placing high on Big Fish #7.
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
David Rainville's 36.0# flathead was the biggest cat of the day.
2 14# and 15# carp were caught but all after 9 p.m., the 8.5# was the biggest carp of the day.

The hottest day of the year, in the 90's.  Big carp were not hitting.  But, the cats were!
Nathan Peoples started with a 7.0# carp at 9 a.m. from the back lake.  Dave Rainville
knocked him off with a 10.8# around 10 a.m. and held for the day (check out the Big
Fish Contest, you'll see the jumbo carp are hitting at night!).  Jim Rainville took
the cat lead with a 9.9# flathead from the front lake and held most of the day until
Nick Bright landed the winning 14.6# flathead just after 7 p.m. from the back lake.
David Rainville takes the "smallest wining carp" category with his 10.8#!
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
Cary Erwin slams a 49.2# blue cat just before noon!  Placing 5th on the Big Fish Contest
(so far, ends 8/15/09).
Gary Medley got in the door at 5:58 a.m. Sunday morning with a 22.3# carp!  He
took the lead on Big Fish #6!  2 minutes too early for the Sunday Series (he wasn't
in it anyway, fishing on a night ticket, 2 minutes to spare!).

Jake Berry took an early lead with the 20.8# Jumbo from the front lake at 8:35 a.m.
Justin B. Briggs slammed home a 25.1# Carp to win the lucky 25 for $941 around 10 a.m.!
Ed Shepherd scored a nice 24 pound flathead from the back lake at 9 a.m. to secure
the Cat side win and ties for the Cat Series lead!  Jake Berry increased his
carp wins to 2 but still a distant 2nd from Larry DeHart's 5 wins
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
Jason B. Briggs hits the lucky 25 for $941 around 10 a.m.!
Ed's 24# flathead was the biggest of the day and night.

We ran our $100 Hourly Pool today from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., lots of action there.
At 6:15 a.m. Larry DeHart weighs in an 8.0# carp from the front lake.   At 6:40 a.m.
Denver Collison weighed in a 15.2# carp from the back (wishing the hourly had already
started!).  Denver's carp held all day but was not the biggest of the day.  Bobby Rice
weighed in a 10.2# flathead from the back lake and it held all day, as most were
fishing for carp in the hourly pool. Bobby did take over the title of "smallest winning
Cat".
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
Ron Cochran caught a 19.0# carp around Noon and took 1st place on an Hourly
Bobby's 10.2# cat was the biggest landed of the day though several big ones were
hitting pretty well.  Sunday night showed several 16-17# caught from the back

The big ones were not biting during the day, and we stocked over 500# from 11 a.m to noon!  But, the
small ones were going crazy.  We also had a 15# carp disqualified around 5 p.m. as
the angler's guest did not check in when entering the property, then gave the angler a ride
on their way back and that angler had a fish on.  The fish was disqualified before the fish was even
seen.  Anglers are responsible for their guests.  Bad timing.
Larry Fulkerson started the day with a 7.9# from the pond around 10:40 a.m. 40 minutes
later he was edged out by Nathan Peoples with an 8.0# from the back lake.  Larry Fulkerson
caught an 8.0# from the pond just 15 minutes later to tie the lead.  But, Larry DeHart, the Series
leader, weighs in an 11.8# carp from the back lake around 12:30 p.m. and held it (except
for the disqualification of the 15#!).  Nathan Peoples weighed in a 10.7# blue around 1:40 p.m.
and it held.  The fish are biting better at night, Jeff Pruitt got a 17.5# carp later Sunday night
missing out on a $500 carp board hit (gotta be in it to win it Jeff!).
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
The 11.8# and 10.7# blue were the biggest, neither was big enough to place on the Big Fish #5

Comments for Sunday 7/12/09  - 10 Sunday Series' left!!
Larry DeHart takes a big lead with 4 carp wins!  Don't forget though, each Sunday's winner is in
a random draw in late September.  Larry weighed his 17.7# carp in around 11 a.m. from
the back lake and held all day.  Kevin Briggs hit a 15.4# carp board for $138 in mid-afternoon
from the front lake!  Dale Bear caught a 14.3# blue cat at 7:11 a.m. from the back lake.  That
held awhile (Billy Gibson snagged a 37# flat in the belly and wanted to see the weight but it
doesn't count of course, good job Billy).  Ed Shepherd caught the winning 16.8# flathead
around 3 p.m. from the back lake.  Sunday night, Skylar Combs caught a 32# flathead, just
a bit late Skylar!  A 31.9# blue was also caught in the back lake by Elliott Johnson.  Skylar
should've been in the lucky 32!  Worth $630+, Elliott was in it, missed it by 0.1#.  Both are
on Big Fish #5.  Larry DeHart also takes first place with the 17.7#, a sure bet for $25-$100 more!
Of course, Ed's 16.8# flathead also places on the Big Fish but history says he'll get bumped,
sorry Edward, there's always next Sunday!
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
16.8# flathead and 17.7# carp were the biggest of the day (6 a.m. to 9 p.m.)

Comments for Sunday 6/28/09
Dale Bear started the day at 7 a.m. with an 8.5# carp, bumped quickly by Sergio C. with a 9.9#
at 7:15, both from the front.  Dale then weighed in a 15.4# flathead around 9 a.m.  He moved
to the back and quickly caught the winning 14.1# carp around 10 a.m.  Around 1 p.m., Jim
Rainville slams home a 37.8# flathead which held for the win on the Cat side.  But, get this!
Larry DeHart comes in at 4 p.m. for a combo ticket, does not get in the Sunday Series, we'll
blame Ed Shepherd as he didn't want to (was fishing with Larry).  Larry caught a 17.2# carp
in the early evening.  Sunday night, a 15 and 19# carp was caught, Jason Spencer was not
in the Lucky 19 losing $100 but placing on the big Fish in First place!  Also worth $100 if it holds
so no harm done so far, William Love caught a 34# flat, not in the Lucky 34 for a $600 loss but
it should hold on the Big Fish for $25-$100.  And, not too many fisherman but lots of action!
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
37.8# flathead by Jim Rainville was the winner and the biggest fish.
the 17.2# carp was the biggest carp caught during the Series, Dale Bear's 14.1# wins it,
almost tieing Ronnie Smith's 14.0# "smallest carp winner".

This Father's Day was also a Big Cat stocking day, we received 681# of big flats and blues
from Clear Creek (caught in Kentucky Lake), ranging from teens to a 60# blue cat, five
flatheads over 40 pounds and several in the 20's and 30's.  David Rainville took command
of the Cat side in early afternoon with his 39.9#.  Ed Shepherd hit a 37# late in the day, that
was a Cat Board hit for $219.  Gage wells took the Carp lead around 9:20 a.m. with a 6.9#
from the Pond.  Jerry Duncan took the lead with an 8.8# from the front lake around 11 a.m.
Jerry Pittman was cruising to a series tie with a 14.4# weighed in at 11:20 a.m. from the back
lake, but Larry DeHart came in late in the afternoon with a 14.9# that held and Larry takes
a commanding Indy Sunday Series lead with 3 wins.    David Rainville holds the cat side
with 2 cat wins, back-to-back
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
There was a 16.4# carp just after 9 p.m., taking the lead on Big Fish #4.
David Rainville's 39.9# flathead was the biggest of the 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. day also taking 1st place

An action packed day, we also ran our Target Hourly from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (see results!)
Gage Wells took the lead around 8:30 a.m. with a 6.6# carp.  Cliff Parker then took
over with an 8.9# from the pond.   Around 9:30 a.m., Matt Heller took the lead with an 11.1#
from the pond.  This held awhile as bigger carp placed on the hourly pool.  Nick Bright
then took the lead around 6 p.m. with a 12.9#.  Junior Golden then weighed in a 13.4# from
the Carp Lake around 6:30.  Junior then bumped himself with at 16.1# around 8:40 p.m.
also placing high on the new $1,000 Big Fish #4!  No cats qualified for the Sunday
Series until Dave Rainville slams it at 8:30 p.m. with a 35.8# flathead from the front lake!
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
A 16.8# was the biggest of the day, Brian Cochran won Hour #5 just after noon for $112.50,
he also won the Biggest Carp of the Hourly for another $100, so a good move there by
Brian.  Dave Rainville's 35.8# Flathead was the biggest cat of the day.

Mike B. took an early lead at 10 a.m. with an 8.8# from the Front lake. But, just 2 minutes later
Red Wilson enters a 15.2# from the Front Lake.  That held for over 5 hours until Jake Berry
lands a 15.7# carp from our back (carp) lake and could not be beaten after that.
No cat qualified (must be 5.0# and we had some 4# channels trying!~)  Cats were shut
down during the daytime except for channel cats.  Thus, Jake takes 100% of the purse.
Jake also gets to place the 15.7# on the $1,000 Big Fish #3 and might get more money for it!
Currently 10th place, he's hoping to get bumped to last place (13th) for another $100 instead of
another $25.

Billy Gibson didn't get in the day pool but caught a 28.6# flat mid-morning, just off the 28.5# cat board!
Dale Bear caught a 15.3# carp around 10:30 a.m. but opted for the sure-thing $74 carp board hit.
You never know.  Ronnie Smith won the Sunday Series and swept it all with no qualifying cat weighed in.
Ronnie Smith also took over the "smallest winning carp" category, edging out Larry DeHart's 14.1#
from April 12.
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
Billy Gibson's 28.6# cat was the biggest and would have won, plus placed on the big fish (where it
currently is anyway).  Get in the pool Billy!
Dale Bear's 15.3# carp was the biggest of the day, and would also have been a good running for
last place on Big Fish #3, that's unknown until June 13, when Big Fish #3 $1,000 pays out!
I think Ronnie Smith is fine with the results!

Comments for Sunday 5/17/09:
A busy series with 6 lead changes:  Big cats were  slower though Robert Wade caught a 36# flathead
just before the Series started to win the 24 hour any fish pool.
Adam Bennett started at 6:45 a.m. with a 5.8# from the pond, knocking it off at 8:30 with an 8.7#.
Then, Tony Lett took the lead with an 11.2# at 10 a.m. from the back lake, but Terry O'Dell bumped
him with an 11.5# at 10:45 a.m. from the front.   Around Noon, Tony Huffman weighed in
a 13.0# that held for one hour until Denver Collison blew it out with a 22.2# jumbo carp from the
back lake.  Denver had weighed in the winning 15.7# flathead from the back lake at 10 a.m.
Biggest Weight Caught of the Day;
Sunday Series winners were also the biggest fish during the day.
We put nearly 600# of jumbo Carp & Cats in around noon but no one could get 'em.  Ed Shepherd weighed
in a late 15.2# flathead near the end, but not quite big enough.  Denver sweeps it AND takes over
the Biggest Carp Win of the Series.  Go Denver!  His 22.2# also place FIRST on Big Fish #2,
he might win another $100 if it holds but we know he's in the money for $25 minimum with a hog like that.

The Carp were active, starting with a 14.1# by Brian Cochron at 6:45 a.m, he then bumped himself
with a 14.3# at 7:30 a.m.  Jake Berry took the lead around 2 p.m. with a 14.5#, all from the back lake
But, around 4:30 p.m., Jerry Pittman caught a 15.3# from the front lake and it held for the win, also
placing on Big Fish #2 (will it hold?).   Dillard Rice started the Cat side with a 10.7# flathead shortly
after 6 a.m.  But around 9 a.m., after a big fight, Dillard lands a 38.3# flathead which held for the win
and placed 2nd on Big Fish #2, nearly a sure bet to pay even more on May 25 (end of Big Fish #2)!
Dillard also has the Biggest Cat Winner of the Series!  Go Dillard!!
